Our City® (Grade 3) is designed to provide practical information about businesses and the main occupations found in those businesses in a typical city. This program is delivered as a series of five 35-minute activities recommended for students in grade three. The self-contained program kit includes detailed activity plans for the volunteer and materials for 30 students.

Four:Making Headlines
The students examine the role of a newspaper reporter and the purpose of a newspaper in a city. They realize that there are many jobs in the newspaper business.

Five:You Can Bank on It
The students become aware of jobs within a bank and examine their importance in a city.
